MIES
MIES explores the challenge of translating the architectural language of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe into a contemporary graphic form. The cover seeks a balance between visual clarity and communication, echoing the architect’s minimal approach.
Geometry, precise proportions, and restrained typography guide the design, creating a visual bridge between the architect’s work and the reader’s experience.
This case study presents the creative process and design decisions behind the project, showing how architectural principles can inform and shape editorial design.

Crash Cole
Crash Cole is an art direction and visual identity project developed for the artist’s first music release, Chemical. The work translates the atmosphere and energy of the track into a distinct visual language.
The project includes the design of the record and its visual assets, centered around a glossy pink vinyl and a custom display typeface that defines the release’s identity.
This case study explores how typography, color, and physical media combine to build a cohesive visual system for a debut musical project.

Error 02006
02006 explores the idea of turning a technical error into a visual language. Inspired by the glitches produced when scanners fail to read a document correctly, the typeface investigates the tension between digital precision and mechanical imperfection.
The family includes four weights, each available in two versions: Static, clean and stable, and 02006, a distorted variant generated through programmed irregularities that alter the letterforms.
This case study presents the design process behind the typeface and how the system was engineered to introduce unpredictable variations, allowing words to subtly change each time they appear.

Homage to Vasarely
🏆 Award Winning → Outpump Design Week
This optical artwork explores the relationship between color, perception, and identity through silk-screen printing. Inspired by Victor Vasarely’s research on color theory and visual vibration, the piece reinterprets optical art through a contemporary graphic lens.
The composition integrates the designer’s initials, NG, within a structured visual system where color interactions generate movement and depth across the surface.
This case study examines how historical references and contemporary graphic tools merge to create a one-of-a-kind print, bridging the legacy of op art with a personal visual identity.

Metaprogetto
This project focuses on the design of a publication for Metaprogetto, developed within Scuola Mohole’s 2023 course School of the Future. The book presents the concepts, research, and design explorations produced during the program.
The publication was designed to organise a wide range of ideas, visual materials, and speculative proposals into a clear and structured narrative. Typography, layout, and pacing were carefully considered to balance editorial readability with a strong visual identity.
This case study explores how editorial design can translate an educational research project into a cohesive publication, transforming a collection of concepts and experiments into a unified visual and narrative system.
2023
Eki Brewery
Eki Brewery is a branding and packaging project developed for a fictional craft brewery based in Milan. Inspired by the idea of global travel, the brand imagines beer as a journey, where each product represents a different destination and cultural influence.
The project includes the design of six beers, each with its own label while remaining part of a cohesive visual system.
This case study explores the development of the brand identity, focusing on art direction, label design, and the creation of a unified visual language for the brewery.
